These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at ferrousandfield.com and your purchase of products from Ferrous & Field Coffee Co. ("Ferrous & Field," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Who we are
Ferrous & Field Coffee Co. is a small-batch coffee roaster located at 1714 W Main St, Richmond, Virginia 23220. You can reach us at hello@ferrousandfield.com or (804) 555-0188.
2. Orders & pricing
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Because we roast in small batches to order, occasionally a coffee sells out between when you order and when we roast; if that happens, we'll contact you to offer a substitute or a refund. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice, but the price you're charged is the price shown at checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse or cancel any order.
3. Shipping & freshness
We roast on Mondays and Thursdays and ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. Every bag is stamped with its roast date. We are not responsible for shipping delays once a package leaves our hands and is in the care of the carrier. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.
4. Returns
Coffee is a perishable food product, so we generally can't accept returns of opened bags. That said, if something is wrong with your order — it arrived damaged, stale, or simply isn't what you expected — email us within 14 days and we'll make it right with a replacement or refund. We stand behind everything we roast.
5. Subscriptions
If you sign up for a recurring coffee subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the schedule you select until you cancel. You can pause, change, or cancel a subscription at any time from your account or by emailing us before your next roast date.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use our site only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the site's operation, gain unauthorized access to our systems, scrape content for commercial use, or use the site in any way that could damage or overburden it.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including our name, logo, photographs, roast notes, and written copy — is owned by Ferrous & Field or used with permission and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or reuse it without our written consent.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Our site and products are provided "as is" and "as available." While we work hard to describe our coffees accurately, taste is subjective and we make no warranty that a given coffee will suit your preferences. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ferrous & Field will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Richmond, Virginia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
